Traces of Being - new video footage
Though this footage is of lower res than the previously released blood work footage it does include further highlights from this 30 minute performance.
Traces of Being was designed to alternately engage with both a meditative & destructive sense of existence; the connection between body, a projection of Being and a ritualistic process of stripping away layers of a multiplict Self.
The soundscape is mixed live by the composer; a base track combines with recently captured aural elements (representing nuances of Self, acting as a current commentary on the three actions) thus enhancing the emphasis of change and constant flux of Being.
No one performance is the same and this is repeated in the sense of how the body uniquely traverses Identity, Existence, Object in each performance. A journey that is enhanced as the body passes through a life-giving/preservering/pertrifying salt traveling from what initially may of developed from a wrestled/censored Identity and into the Existence & Object.
NOTE: A large element that is missing from this document is the process of travel as the blind body traverses the space.
Featured Footage: Seven Arts, Leeds. Photos: Act Art 8, London & Whips, Leeds.
Soundscape created by Sardonik Grin (Lleywn Maire); for more information visit: www.panzen.net/grin
