Kerry Irvine

Artistic Director of Scene Pool & of the Research and Projects Performance Initiative at Brunel University, Kerry Irvine, comments on Psychosis by Thomas John Bacon...

"...his was a deeply evoking and difficult piece of work that was sensitive, moving and beautiful, yet disturbing and ugly. Thomas is an exceptional artist who is able to develop a state of trance within the auditorium that cannot help but provoke a visceral response from the audience. I found Thomas to be a dedicated and highly professional artist and practitioner, whose work is challenging, insightful and engaging. His commitment to his practice is evident in how his work pushing boundaries within the theatre discipline and his own artistic journey. Working with Thomas you get a sense that he works with great instinct and has a commitment to his practice that has an almost spiritual value. I respect Thomas as an artist and would programme his work again without hesitation and highly recommend any student of theatre to see his work...."
