Gaza Crisis

Both sides in this conflict have been guilty of serious human rights abuses. Whilst Israel has been using weapons that are banned under international law, Hamas have been dishing out punishment killings and knee-cappings, as highlighted in a recent Amnesty report

Psyhosis debuts - thank you everyone.

Sunday night was a huge success and sell out!

I just wanted to take 5 minutes out to post my thanks to everyone who came along to support me and this new challenging piece of work.  The feedback I have received thus far has been highly useful, supportive, celebratory and would seem to indicate that any fear I had of the work being 'closed' was not founded and if anything is closer to being finalised than I first realised.

Please check back over the next week as I pull documentation together and post some imagery of Psychosis on the site for you to view.

Final run throughs

The days are now counting down to Psychosis.  I had the best run through in rehearsal tonight yet I am still finding the phrase between the the fall and the cutting to be one that needs further exploration - is this / should this be a moment of sudden and intense harm?  I received feedback that would indicate that the destruction of limbs as they hit the ground repeatedly worked in yesterday's run through more than today's muted exploration - its something that is in and of itself a challenge.

Cutting into my Psychosis

The prospect of cutting myself doesn't daunt me; it feels appropiate.  It will act as a release and shouldn't be percieved as torture.  What comes before it is: the build of the body's own slow and tortured journey to this point is the act of destruction.
I've lost a part of myself somewhere and I cannot find it.  When one has gone into one's self so far, what will bring you back?  Can you even come back for that matter?  The conclusion to Pyschosis will raise these questions.

Stillness is always present in my work, but by this conclusion does the body still feel?

Psychosis will be shown for the first time as a work in progress on Sunday 8th February at the Camden People's Theatre, London.
