New directing project update.

We were unable to secure the rights to the play that I had hoped to direct next due to restriction at the venue in regard to content of a certain nature: yes, once more I have been censored! I will hold out that in the future I will get the opportunity to present my interpretation of some of this amazing artist's work.

At present we are currently attempting to secure the rights to one of Harold Pinter's more recent works, which one would presume may not be something that would be associated with my style or indeed interests - however I have always found Pinter to be one of only a few playwrights that capture the nuances & rhythm of natural speech or conversation, which intrigues, delights and excites me.

Mentoring Future Directors

Apologies for the delay in blogging of late but for the past two months I have been mentoring a group of 13 directors on their first ever projects.

This will culminate next week with the presentation of these shows during a marathon one day event.

It has been a long process and only the second time I have attempted such a project but each director involved should thoroughly commended and proud of the work that they have achieved.

A special note should also go to the first year National Diploma Acting students from Gloucestershire College who are themselves stretching their ability to perform rep by learning up to 3 different parts to be played across the board on the day itself.
