Picture Galleries

A selection of documentation from a variety of performances are now available to view in the right hand column of this site. Those galleries that are not previewing are of a more adult nature and the link will take you to a non-public album.

It is always interesting looking back over the past few years of work and while I have decided not to relist every image nor indeed some whole shows - I feel that what is represented here gives a strong impression of my work and indeed to some extent its evolution as the work is listed in chronological order with the most recent at the top.

Enjoy.

Erosion Pictures

I am pleased to announce that a Gallery is now accessible to view documentation from my three hour durational collaboration with Mimi Joung that was premiered at the Chelsea Theatre in May this year.

You will find a link to the galley on the right hand side of this blog. This link takes you to a non-public gallery as some of the images contain male nudity and therefore may not be suitable for all audiences.

DADA - the worst cabaret ever!

"DADA - the worst cabaret ever!" took its influence from the original movement from 1920's and transfered this along with elements (such as performance art & Butoh) that it itself has affected since its shortlived height at the Cabaret Voltaire.

The play featured an incongruous mix of devised performances that the audience were able to order to be performed at their tables through to Tristen Tzara's First Manifesto & The Gas Heart and onto dance, flash mobbing & even Butoh.

The show was performed by students from the Final Year of the National Diploma in Acting at Gloucestershire College and was performed in June 2008 at the Taylor Theatre.

The show was directed by Thomas John Bacon.

Welcome to a new world

Welcome to the new online home of Thomas John Bacon. This web site is currently under construction and will launch sometime in the next month.

The main purpose of this site is to host promotion and documentation of my live art & theatrical performance work. It will also bring you news of forthcoming projects as well as my occasional musings.

I look forward to reestablishing a presence in the international online community and hope you will regularly revisit my work here.
